ABOUT ME
I am Yessica, an endocrinologist with an academic and professional career allowing me to specialize in comprehensive health care. During my rotating internship in 2011, I had the invaluable opportunity to do internships in the specialties of radiology and gastroenterology at the prestigious Harvard Medical School. This enriching experience began my commitment to excellence in the medical field.

EXPERIENCE
I graduated as a doctor from the University of Antioquia, with the highest average in the medical program in 2011. My dedication and effort were recognized with the prestigious Manuel Uribe Ángel Award the Academy of Medicine of Medellín granted in the same year.

My path to specialization continued with a specialization in Endocrinology at the National University of Colombia in Bogotá. During this period, I not only obtained a scholarship for achieving the best postgraduate average, but I was also awarded the Best Research Paper Award presented at the biennial Congress of obstetrics and Gynecology in March 2019.

In April 2018, I graduated as an endocrinologist, consolidating my knowledge and skills to address the complexities of endocrinology with precision and dedication. My constant pursuit of excellence led me to pursue a Master’s Degree in Obesity at the European University Miguel de Cervantes in 2021, strengthening my focus on comprehensive health management.

In addition, I hold an MBA in Health Coaching from the European School of Health, which allows me to not only offer a clinical approach, but also provide comprehensive support and guidance to my patients. My commitment to obesity management is reflected in my international certification by SCOPE.

As an active member of the Colombian Association of Endocrinology, I have been collaborating with different institutions in Medellín since 2018, including Promedan IPS, SURA EPS, and Christus Sinergia Salud. I am part of the endocrinology group at the Otmaro Belalcázar Center for Comprehensive Management of Endocrine Pathology, where my specialization focuses on crucial issues such as obesity and overweight.
